Pete Cook Founder's Award Criteria

Submission Deadline: April 30

This award is given to an AHMP Professional Member for outstanding accomplishments in support of AHMP by providing long-term service or continuous professional achievements while promoting the AHMP Strategic Plan and the integrity of EHS&S credentials. This award includes a five-year exemption from AHMP dues.

Nominees must meet the following eligibility requirements: 

  • Nominee must be a long-term Professional Member of AHMP in good standing.
  • Nomination materials must include clear documentation and specific examples supporting the nominee’s qualifications and accomplishments.

Nominees will be evaluated based on following:

  • Demonstrated outstanding accomplishments through long-term service that has significantly supported AHMP’s mission, programs, governance, or growth while actively promoting the AHMP Strategic Plan.
  • Evidence of sustained professional excellence and ongoing achievements that advance AHMP and the EHS&S profession, consistent with the goals of the AHMP Strategic Plan.
  • Clear demonstration of actions that uphold, promote, and protect the integrity, credibility, and professional standards of EHS&S credentials.
  • The nominee’s performance reflects a level of achievement comparable to or exceeding that of previous Pete Cook Founder’s Award recipients, maintaining the high standards associated with this honor.
