From the exhibit hall where you could spend time networking and connecting (and even recording a podcast!), the plenary sessions that brought engaging speakers and topics, the technical tracks with experts sharing knowledge and experience, to the exciting ERS, this year’s summit will go down as one of the best! I honestly can’t pick my favorite part, can you?
I would like to extend my appreciation to the sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, board members, AHMP staff, moderators, volunteers, and attendees that made this summit the success that we had hoped for, and I know next year in Philly will be even better!
On a more personal note, as my time on the BOD comes to an end, I would like to acknowledge and extend my thanks to all of AHMP for allowing me to work with this wonderful organization. I am especially grateful to have been able to work closely with the Chapters and Sections through the Chapter Relations Committee and our annual delegate meetings. You are the heart of this organization, and your enthusiasm and engagement has always been appreciated.
To my fellow board members (past and present), thank you for your tireless efforts not only in putting AHMP back on stable ground, but growing and expanding our alliance. AHMP is stronger because of your efforts. And last, but certainly not least, a huge thank you to our amazing staff. Becky and Mary, none of this would have been possible without your efforts.
Cheers to a great summit, and I will see you all next year in Philadelphia!

2026 EHS HazMat Summit: A Memorable Time in New Orleans
More than 320 attendees gathered in New Orleans for the 2026 EHS HazMat Summit, featuring education, networking, and plenty of memorable experiences.
Highlights included extended exhibit hall breaks, keynote speaker Charlie Sellars, a hands-on Emergency Response Scenario at the Louisiana State Police Joint Emergency Services Training Center, and a pre-conference Clean Air Act Workshop presented by McCoy and Associates. Attendees also enjoyed luncheons, raffles, and tours of the National WWII Museum and St. Louis Cemetery No. 1.
From valuable learning opportunities to the sights and sounds of New Orleans, the Summit was a great success. Thank you to everyone who attended, presented, exhibited, sponsored, volunteered, and helped make the 2026 EHS HazMat Summit a success!
