The Kentuckiana Chapter of Hazardous Materials Managers is sponsoring a triennial Advanced DOT HazMat Update course on Friday, March 22nd.  This is the advanced-level course designed to meet the needs of the hazmat manager, and is especially useful as a train-the-trainer course.

The 8-hour course meets the recurrent training requirements of 49 CFR 172.704. It is targeted to professionals whose job is directly related to the shipment of hazardous materials and/or the training of such individuals.  Because of the advanced nature of the course content, it will be very challenging for anyone seeking to learn brand new material. During the day, practice exercises will be conducted and, at day's end, a written test given.

The instructor - Jennifer James Koenig, CHMM - brings 25 years of DOT HAZMAT teaching to the program. Her instruction style includes a unique way of conveying difficult training materials, as well as offering suggestions on training techniques to use within your own organization.

The course is offered at a cost-effective fee of $375 for members of the chapter and $450 for non-members. (Not yet a chapter member? Dues are only $35, so you save money by joining and paying the lower member registration fee!  Access the chapter membership application here.)

For more information and to register, review the course flyer (PDF) on the KCHMM website.

For questions or further information, email Jennifer James Koenig or call her at (812) 945-1541.
