Our Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all personal information provided solicited/unsolicited or otherwise by members and/or prospective members to the Academy.

The Academy of Certified Hazardous Materials Managers, Inc. (Academy) is a non-profit, volunteer organization comprised of individual members having attained the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager credential through the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management. To maintain the organization and communicate with its members, the Academy must be privy to certain personal information specific to each individual.

Information on members, past and present, and prospective members acquired by the Academy is the property of the Academy. The Academy respects its member’s privacy and will take steps to assure that such information will be used responsibly, however, the Academy reserves the right to release such information to third parties from time to time and will not be held responsible for how this information is used.

The Academy does not sell, rent or trade its member’s personal information to third parties. The Academy may, however, use third parties to conduct its business and provide services to its members. If personally identifiable information (i.e. name, address, e-mail address, and telephone number) is provided to any of these third parties, the Academy will require that they maintain such information in strictest confidence.
