AHMP 2010 National Conference Certification Exams & CE
Take Certification Examinations
For course participants and other conference attendees interested in certification:
Examinations for the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager® (CHMM®) and the
Certified Hazardous Materials Practitioner™ (CHMP™)
credentials will be offered at Advanced Technology Group, an approved
testing facility on the HOST testing network, from September 17 through
30. Hours of operation weekly are: 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through
Thursday; 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and
Sunday. If you will not be extending your stay in Atlanta to take the
exam, it is recommended that you locate a nearby HOST testing facility
that is convenient for you. Visit www.ihmm.org for a list of facilities
in the HOST testing network. Only candidates who have been deemed
eligible may register for these exams. Those interested must preregister
and prepay to the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) by
August 6, 2010 at examinfo@ihmm.org. Availability is limited.
Earn Certification Points
IHMM Certification Maintenance Points (CMPs)
Full conference registration and attendance at all general sessions and eight technical sessions will earn you 20 hours (20 CMPs) of continuing education credit toward the 100 hours (100 CMPs) required by IHMM for each five-year recertification cycle. Additionally, participation in preconference professional training earns you recertification credit at the rate of one CMP per hour of training. Certified Safety Professional Continuing Education (CEUs)
For certified safety professionals, CEUs are offered for Continuance of Certification (COC) points per Board of Certified Safety Professionals rules. A certificate of attendance will be provided.
ABIH Certification Maintenance Points
Application has been made to the American Board of Industrial Hygienists for CMPs.
