Letter to Chapter Presidents
Dear Chapter Presidents -
As a New Year approaches, AHMP would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of the work you do on a local basis to bring CHMMs and other EHS&S professionals together. It is your ability to reach so many people that strengthens our organization.
Over the years, AHMP has increased its member benefits as well as the tools and resources available to Chapters, such as the combined dues program, online dues renewal, updated EHMM course, leadership workshop, and chapter congress at the national conference. We hope these efforts have made your jobs a little easier.
As another progressive step, we are implementing a new member recruitment program that should benefit both the local chapters and AHMP. In this effort, we will need your help. The program is designed to reach more of the EHS&S professionals in our community as well as others. The recruitment program is a five pronged approach:
- Capture existing CHMMs
- Induct affiliate members from Chapters (those members who are not CHMMs)
- Work with educational institutions to reach students and new professionals
- Partner with other national organizations who have a different market
- Increase international ventures
By reaching out in these five directions, not only will AHMP gain members and recognition, but our Chapters will be able to gain members as well.
Again, we would like to thank you for your previous efforts and know that your assistance in this new program will be advantageous to both the Chapters and AHMP.
