Essentials of Hazardous Materials Management (EHMM) Course Description:

The Essentials of Hazardous Materials Management (EHMM) course is an excellent educational program for environmental, health, safety and security (EHS/S) professionals. The course, which is managed by the Alliance of Hazardous Materials Professionals (AHMP), is a cross-training tool that helps EHS/S professionals quickly and effectively obtain knowledge in new areas as well as areas that have been added to their job responsibilities. It also helps those new to the profession gain a foundation and prepare for the Certified Hazardous Materials Manager® (CHMM®) designation examination. It does not guarantee passage of the CHMM® national certification exam.

IHMM’s CHMM® program is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Board (CESB), an independent, voluntary organization that recognizes, through specialty certification, the expertise of individuals practicing in engineering and related fields. This course provides instruction on laws and regulations as well as technologies and practices in an overview fashion that highlights and emphasizes what is important for a hazardous materials manager to know and provides essential information for the hazardous materials manager to better conduct his/her job.
